Innkeepers Lynne & Roger Norris completed a thoughtful conversion of one of Rockport's architectural gems in 1985. Since then, the Pleasant Street Inn (PSI) offering Rockport Massachusetts accommodations has welcomed guests who prize true hospitality in an inviting, casual environment, and ideally situated to easily access the varied activities on Cape Ann, the historic North Shore to Boston - - in fact, all that eastern New England has to offer is within convenient reach when lodging at the Inn.

Each of the Inn's eight rooms are furnished to provide maximum comfort. From the private entrance of the Whirlpool Room with its cottage wicker furnishings and relaxing Jacuzzi to the high point of the Turret Room's staircase leading to a cozy loft, each room has its own special character and decorative touches.

In addition, there are several desirable qualities common to every guest room beginning with a private bathroom with shower, and new this season air conditioning for complete comfort. Conveniently stationed on each floor is a compact refrigerator for your beverages, perishables, and to ensure cool summer drinks remain that way...an ice machine is located in the first floor hallway. It should be noted that a generously proportioned, exterior staircase provides a second option to entering the Inn's rooms on the second and third floors.

We need to remind you Rockport is a lively but "semi dry" town. Most restaurant have full liquor licenses. Those few that don't allow you to bring your own beer and wine. However, there are no liquor stores, so if you don't bring wine and spirits with you, a short drive to Gloucester provides a solution.

Our Carriage House Is Spacious And Very Private

The entire second level of the original Victorian carriage house presents added value possibilities for guests requiring multiple bedrooms and all the amenities of home. Rented by the week from July through Columbus Day, the stand-alone carriage house offers a complete kitchen, a living room and dining area, two bedrooms, a pull-out couch, 2 full baths, a laundry, cable TV and a private deck overlooking the Inn's very productive vegetable garden.

Our New 3 Bedroom Cottage - A Spacious "Home Away From Home"

The Pleasant Street Inn Cottage is a wonderful way for your family or group to spend time here in Rockport. This is a home at the rear of our property, surrounded by gardens and lawns. It is quiet, private, spacious and enjoyable, inside and out. The cottage is available for weekly rental in-season at $2000 per week plus tax.
