Ryan & Wood, Inc. Distilleries is a craft distillery located on Boston’s North Shore. Family owned and operated, we are committed to producing best-of-class products to hard working locals and world travelers alike. We are proud to call Gloucester our home, turning Cape Ann into the birthplace of an array of top shelf spirits. Steeped in history and tradition, Gloucester is quintessential New England, from which our inspiration is drawn.

Our Products

At Ryan & Wood our products are crafted by hand in small batches.  Our 600 liter Alembic copper pot still was designed and built to our specifications in the South of Germany. We carefully monitor each step of the distilling process, from the mashing of the grain to bottling ensuring that only the finest quality spirit reaches your lips. We take pride in delivering a world-class product while also attracting a large local and regional following.

Beauport Vodka

Beau Port 1.  [bō-pôr'] From the French, meaning Beautiful Harbor. The name given to the Gloucester area by explorer Samuel de Champlain on his first voyage to Cape Ann in 1605.

Beauport 2.  [bō-pôrt] Produced from the finest grains then filtered utilizing our proprietary system several

times to bring out the purest flavors. Through a time tested process and focus on the quality of each batch, Beauport Vodka attains a smooth refreshing taste and pleasant clean finish. It may be enjoyed on its own orin a favorite martini or cocktail.

Knockabout Gin

Knock-a-bout 1. [nok-uh-bout] A type of Schooner without a bowsprit. Designed for easy handling at wharves and for preventing loss of life at sea while furling sails in heavy weather. The Knockabout design was popular with Gloucester Fishermen at the turn of the last century.

Knockabout  2. [nok-uh-bout]  A smooth, elegant, hand crafted Gin. Made in the style of a London dry gin, but with a more complex and intriguing flavor.  Knockabout Gin is made with a select blend of 10 botanicals including cinnamon, nutmeg, cassia, and lemon peel. Using a combination of old world and modern distilling techniques, their essences are infused through small batch distillation to create an amazing product.

Folly Cove Rum

Folly Cove 1.  [fol-ee kohv] A small cove on the northeast tip of Gloucester, bordering on Rockport in an area known historically for its granite quarries.  The cove is known for its shipwrecks and for the smugglers who landed there seeking safety in days gone by. More recently it has become a favorite location for scuba divers and local lobstermen.

Folly Cove 2.  [fol-ee kohv] Family of rums produced in small batches from the finest quality molasses. Folly Cove Rum is aged in charred American white oak barrels which impart a distinctive flavor to the maturing spirit.   Once properly aged, the rum is bottled by hand at our distillery.
