The Beaches
Gloucester's famous beaches are perfect spots to walk, swim or just relax. Bring a book and enjoy the day. Alcohol is not allowed on any beaches. Dogs are not allowed on beaches from May 1st to September 15th. Please respect our litter laws and help keep our beaches and parks clean. Gloucester has adopted a "Carry In, Carry Out" policy at Good Harbor Beach, Wingaersheek Beach, Niles Beach and Plum Cove Beach. Visitors should be prepared to carry any trash out with them when they leave. Good Harbor and Wingaersheek both have a wheelchair designed to navigate over the sand. If you have this need, contact the head lifeguard or ask one of the beach personnel. Many local accommodations offer special beach parking for guests and parking is always free in the evenings. You can also walk or bike to beaches at no charge.
Fun, FREE Things to Do

Seaside Cycle: Manchester
We offer a wide selection of bicycles for different people and uses. And we provide expert assistance in selecting the proper bike type and model. For example, a road bike makes little sense if your plan is to tackle dirt trails. Likewise, if you're into cruising, you certainly don't need to test ride racing rigs. You need the bike type that's right for you, and our experienced staff will listen to you and help you choose.
Flatrocks Gallery
Due to storm damages we will not be open this summer. Please visit our online gallery.
A hidden gem on the northern coast of Gloucester, Flatrocks Gallery offers visitors an impressive collection by established and emerging local artists.
